DAY 1 - ¡Bienvenidos a Puerto Rico!

  • Depart from BTV, Boston, or Montreal and arrive at San Juan Airport, where your Group Leader will meet you.

  • Check in at Dreams Miramar (or similar) — comfortable, air-conditioned rooms within walking distance of Distrito T-Mobile and just one mile from Old San Juan.

  • Head out on a guided walking tour of Santurce, San Juan's vibrant cultural and arts district, famous for its colorful street murals, galleries, music, and lively plazas.

  • Dinner on your own — your guides will provide recommendations.

DAY 2 - Loíza & Afro-Puerto Rican Culture

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Transfer to Loíza, known as "La Capital de la Tradición," celebrated for its Taíno and African cultural roots.

  • Explore the María de la Cruz Cave with a knowledgeable guide and learn about its ties to Taíno history.

  • Enjoy free time on the beautiful beach of Loíza.

  • Lunch included at Villa Pesquera, an authentic coastal seafood restaurant in a local fishing village.

  • Participate in a Bomba dance and music workshop — an immersive lesson in this powerful Afro-Puerto Rican art form.

  • Visit the Carolina Museum of History and Art for a hands-on experience with artist Celestino Ortiz, exploring the work of Cecilia Orta, one of Puerto Rico's first Black painters.

  • Transfer back to Dreams Miramar. Dinner on your own.

DAY 3 - Old San Juan

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Guided walking tour of Old San Juan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with colorful colonial architecture, impressive fortresses, and lively plazas.

  • Explore Castillo San Felipe del Morro — a massive 16th-century Spanish fortress with tunnels, towers, cannon openings, and sweeping Atlantic Ocean views.

  • Free afternoon to explore at your own pace: browse artisan markets, boutiques, and cafés in Plaza de Armas. Lunch on your own.

  • Transfer back to Dreams Miramar.

  • Evening Salsa dance class led by professional instructors, followed by an evening out with your guides to put your new moves to the test.

DAY 4 - El Yunque, Fajardo & Bioluminescent Bay

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Morning hike into El Yunque National Forest — the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest system. Visit a waterfall swimming hole and try the natural rock slides.

  • Afternoon beach time in Fajardo. Optional snorkeling available for an additional ~$34.

  • Late lunch on your own (snacks provided beforehand).

  • Evening kayak excursion on Puerto Rico's famous Bioluminescent Bay, where glowing dinoflagellates light up the water around your paddles in brilliant blue.

  • Transfer back to the hotel with a dinner stop on the way.

DAY 5 - ¡Buen Viaje!

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Check out from Dreams Miramar.

  • Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
